Silencerco, ASA, and the Silencers Are Legal Shoot!

In just two days, on April 28th, Silencerco and the American Silencer Association are putting on the First Annual Silencers Are Legal Shoot. The event, held in Dallas, TX, invites the public to a vendor and range day where they can shoot and test silencers and suppressors. The goal of the event is to educate and inform shooters of all types, and to spread the word that silencers are legal. It promises to be one of the biggest shooting events this year. Vendors are lined up to display and sell brand new product, ammo is available on site, and firearms and silencers will be provided to allow people the opportunity to experience silencer use first hand.

Silencerco is one of the leading silencer or suppressor manufacturers in the US, and is one of the leading forces for legislation and lobbying regarding silencers and silencer use. I was able to interview Josh Waldron, the CEO of Silencerco, regarding the shoot, the company, and silencers in general in the US.

Read on to see the full interview, and for more information regarding suppressor ownership and use in the US. Read more

KWA CQR Series AEGs, KWA sportline M4 and M4 CQB Airsoft Rifles

While the news is already out there, the story about the KWA CQR series airsoft guns is still pretty new. The KWA CQR has a 2GX gearbox in an AEG that sells for $189.95. They were announced by KWA at the SHOT Show, and, if they perform as intended, could change the AEG market. While those are some pretty hefty claims, KWA is the one company that we expect can actually back them up with a high  performance product. Read on to see what all KWA can cram into one rifle for under $200.

Nike Special Field Systems News

With the wild success  of the Nike SFB, it’s no wonder that Nike is expanding their combat gear line, or Nike SFS. Recently, Nike released the Sage colored SFB in the US. The Sage Special Field Boot is designed for wear with ACUs or ABUs, and is approved for wear with the Airman Battle Uniform. Now, in addition to the orignal Khaki / Tan SFB and the Black SFB, Nike is adding yet another color for new applications. The SFB Coyote is the newest addition, and will be available this summer. Coyote Special Field Boots will likely be used for Marine Corps applications, as they require a darker brown color than the original Khaki SFB.
